Joshua J. Benn
With over fifteen years experience in litigation and transactional work, my focus is on estate planning, guardianships, probate, real estate, mediation and business matters. I have had the privilege of speaking to a variety of community groups such as the Bryan ISD, The Arc, Texas A&M Project LEAD, The Down Syndrome Association of the Brazos Valley and the Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living on the issues of estate planning and guardianship.
In both negotiation and trial litigation, my firm stands up for our clients' rights and protects their best interests.
We represent clients throughout Texas with offices in two convenient locations — the principal office is located in Bryan/College Station and the second office is located on Lake Conroe. In addition, the firm is completely mobile and we are more than happy to meet with you at your office or even over a cup of coffee. The Benn Law Group offers honest, straightforward legal advice without emptying your bank account.
I grew up in the small Brazos Valley town of Brenham and graduated from Brenham High School in 1991. In 1995, I received a Bachelor of Arts from Sam Houston State University in Political Science. I was then honored to obtain my Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Baylor University School of Law in 1998.
In addition to being licensed in all Texas courts, I am also licensed to practice in the United States federal courts in the Southern District of Texas. Besides practicing law, I have served as both an adjunct faculty member and the Real Estate Program Coordinator at Blinn College and am an owner of Brazos 1031 Exchange Company, LLC.
My family and I are members of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and are actively involved in the local community. I serve or have served as the Vice-Chairman of the College Station Zoning Board of Adjustments and on the boards of Junction 505, Inc., Bryan/College Station Soccer League, Inc. and Brazos Valley Hockey Club, Inc., in addition to many other civic, nonprofit and church boards and organizations.
